Green Maintenance Worker Utrecht

As a Green Maintenance Worker, you will take care of Utrecht’s public green spaces. Your main tasks include weed control, pruning plants, trimming hedges (mechanically), and working with a chainsaw. You will also handle various general tasks in the public space. You don’t need a driving license, but you must be willing to cycle to the meeting point in Utrecht, where you join your team and travel together to the work location by car.

Your day starts by meeting your colleagues at the Utrecht base. After a short briefing, you head out as a team. The work is varied: some days you focus on pruning and hedge trimming, other days you use tools for weed control or chainsaw work. You will be outside every day, so you need to enjoy working in all weather conditions.

This is a great opportunity if you want a stable, outdoor job where you can see the results of your work in the city’s appearance. For this position, you need to speak either Dutch or English at a basic level (A2 – B1). A job interview is required before you start. After the interview, your salary group will be determined based on your experience.

• 1–2 years of proven experience in green maintenance or a similar fieldn• You can communicate in Dutch or English at a basic level (A2 – B1); understanding simple instructions and being able to work in a teamn• You have the VCA certificate and are familiar with safe working practices near roadsn• You can work with hand tools, a mechanical hedge trimmer, and a chainsawn• You are willing to cycle to the pick-up location in Utrecht and work outdoors in all weather conditions
